The City of Milwaukee, The Milwaukee Homeownership Consortium and Freddie Mac are co-sponsoring Take Root Milwaukee, which is designed to be a valuable resource that provides free or low-cost, reliable and trustworthy assistance to help you purchase and keep your new home.  By buying, rehabilitating, and reselling foreclosures to informed and qualified buyers, Take Root Milwaukee will help to stabilize the housing market and prices in Milwaukee neighborhoods and the City as a whole.  In addition, Take Root Milwaukee provides free or low-cost and confidential access to housing counseling and homeownership resources, including helping you understand and manage alternatives to foreclosure.

Take Root Milwaukee recognized for Outstanding Collaborative Effort

On March 30, 2011, the Milwaukee Homeownership Consortium/Take Root Milwaukee was recognized with the Northern Trust Navigator Award at the Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development and Innovation (MANDI).  The 12th annual MANDIs were held at the Pfister Hotel and six groups were recognized for their achievements by Local Initiatives Support Corporation.
