2021 City of Milwaukee Property Tax Information

The City of Milwaukee Combined Property Tax Bill is sent to all City of Milwaukee property owners in mid-December. Failure to pay your bill in full OR make your first installment payment by January 31, 2022 will result in your account becoming delinquent. Read on for information on how to pay your bill using the City’s property tax installment payment plan.

CITY OF MILWAUKEE
PROPERTY TAX INSTALLMENT PAYMENT PLAN

If you are unable to pay the entire balance of your City of Milwaukee Property Tax Bill, the Treasurer’s office offers a 10-month, interest free installment payment plan. To qualify, your real estate tax bill must be more than $100 and you must make your first installment payment by January 31 (this amount will be noted on your bill). Subsequent installments are due on or before the last day of the month from February through October. Taxpayers are strongly encouraged to enroll in the City Treasurer’s automated Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for the Property Tax Installment Payment Plan to ensure monthly installment payments are made in the correct amount and on time. For more information and to enroll visit www.milwaukee.gov/treasurer/eft.
